My beautiful wife Cassie and I founded MyCounselor.Online in 2007 with a vision to provide excellent Christian counseling services and help families fulfill their potential.
Despite lacking expertise in building a company, our backgrounds in counseling and foster care prepared us to embark on this journey. Through challenges and testing of our faith, we trusted God to bring the right people and opportunities.
In 2017, we pivoted to focus on providing faith-based online counseling globally, even though online counseling was initially met with skepticism. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 accelerated the adoption of online counseling, and MyCounselor.Online was well-positioned to assist other practices.
Today, our team of over 30 counselors empowers more than 1,000 families monthly, and we are staying true to our calling to inspire and empower thriving individuals and families.
Through thousands of hours of clinical experience the incredible team at MyCounselor.Online has developed an approach to counseling that just works. We've consolidated our approach into a faith-based model of therapy called Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® (NICC).
Neuroscience Informed Christian Counseling® (NICC) aims to empower individuals to achieve mental health wellness by leveraging insights from neuroscience and theology.
NICC is a dynamic and integrative model that draws from the wisdom of well-established therapeutic approaches and time-honored Biblical soul care. The result is a uniquely Christian clinical model designed for training, supervision, and groundbreaking research.
